Welcome to the Real World Author: IamtheLizardQueen Rating: PG (So far, I'm only half way) Length: Long Site: Geocities.com Summary: A Harry/Draco romance, set post-Hogwart's in muggle London. Includes red mittens, linoleum, witty retorts, angst, love, dance clubs, strange friends, cooking shows, and coffee (not necessarily in that order)!
This is fabulous! Its a well written and intriguing story, that follows Draco through a situation that seems a little too big for him to handle, at least by himself. Its a very hurt/comfort fic, and is delicious. The characterisations are perfect, Draco is still witty, Harry still, well, Harry. It's a very refreshing fic to read. :)

Hymn to Color Author: lomonaaeren Fandom/Pairing: Harry Potter, Harry/Draco. Rating: PG Length: Short Site: LJ Warnings: Ignores DH; consistent with canon until the end of HBP. Profanity and briefly described violence. Varying tenses, but with reason. Overwrought descriptive language. Summary: Months after Draco cast a curse that took Harry’s eyesight, Harry is still trying to come to terms with it. Draco still wanted forgiveness, which was probably the problem.
Oh! This is gorgeous, if not slightly sad. I adored how Harry started actively associating colours with other sensations, storing them away to remember later. That he used them to describe other things was also clever. I loved how the trio was still trio like (Hermione casting spells to help Harry along, making things easier and more efficient, and Ron with the honesty of the world outside the infirmary). I liked that while Harry was in a rather shit place, he was still at peace with the situation. There was no depression or anger, just acceptance. Draco was very, well, Draco like. Not knowing how to ease the situation and making things worse, being frustrated and angry over it. The end was sweet, I like that he gave Harry what no one else had.

Coup de Grace Author: andromeda3116 Fandom/Pairing: Harry Potter, Gen Rating: PG-13 Length: Short (About 2000 words) Site: LJ Summary: Regulus doesn't. (Five things that Regulus Black never did.)
Wow. This is wonderful, a little dark and slightly chilling, but wonderful none the less. Regulus's character was perfectly portrayed, and I loved how he was constantly comparing himself to Sirius as opposites. I like the look into the Black family dynamic too. Wonderful indeed!

Ever After Author: diana_lucifera Fandom/Pairing: Harry Potter, Draco/Pansy Rating: PG Length: Short Site: LJ Spoilers: HP:HPB Summary: It’s not a love story if you’re the only one who’s in love.
Oh :( This is very heartbreaking. The Draco and Pansy voices are perfect, and their relationship spot on. And the helplessness is just so oh. Helpless . . . poor Pansy. You can see how it hurts to want something so very much, knowing that it will never eventuate, but to want it anyway.

Squib Author: Anon Fandom/Pairing: Draco/Harry Rating: NC-17 Length: Long (52000 Words) Spoilers: HP:DH Site: LJ (via hd_holidays Summary: Harry has a respectable life: devoted to his family, teacher to the least-talented of the Wizarding community, retired hero. The Prophet hasn’t caught on to a few things, such as the fact that Harry is gay. He and Ginny want to keep it that way. It’s not a great life, but it’s his – until one day, an old school rival comes by to investigate his class. Suddenly, Harry’s life is no longer predictable.
Its a very loong fic, but an easy read. I like the family background, and I love how Gin and Harry turned out (with no bitterness! Close friends even!), and were both such loving parents with kids that felt *real*. Kids that misbehaved, even. I liked the idea that there was a school for almost-Squib children, and that Hermione was researching the reasons behind squib-ness. I adored the grown-up Draco, devoid of angst, and now a fabulous furniture maker. This was a lovely read, with discussion and action neatly put together, it was well paced with a nice slow build up, and all the messy ends of canon all tucked away in an elegant way (there was no excuses, nor any 'well this just happened to get our characters here and now you can ignore how not plausible this is'). Truly brilliant.

Written in the Stars Author: Anonymous Fandom/Pairing: Harry Potter, Harry/Draco Rating: R Length: Short (16,400 Words) Site: LJ (via hd_holidays) Spoilers: HP:DH Summary: Draco tries to learn from the mistakes of the past.
A very sweet fic. Nicely paced, and Scorpious is gorgeous, I *loved* the characterisations between Draco and his son, and between Scorpious and Al (ironic, hey?). There was also some pretty nifty symmetry going on, theres a nod to the past, and a smile for the future . . . all in all a brilliant, brilliant read. :)

The Price We Pay For Wings Author: Anonymous Fandom/Pairing: Harry Potter, Draco/Harry Rating: R Length: Short (13,600) Site: LJ Spoilers: HP:DH Summary: Books have the power to shape young lives. At least that is the hope of the anonymous author of a best-selling series about a Muggle boy and his best friend on the eve of a world war. But stories do more than just shape the future: they can redress the wrongs of the past as well. But only as long as it’s not too late...
Oh - this is brilliant, heart wrenching, BRILLIANT! The series follows the story of a muggle boy, that is published in the wiziding world, I *ached* for the characters, its beautifully written and it blew me away. Absolutely brilliant.

All The Pretty Horses Author: Anon Fandom/Pairing: Harry Potter Rating: R Length: Short Site: LJ Spoilers: DH:HP Warnings: Contains dark imagery that some may find disturbing.
Oh - another fanstistic fic written for hp_holidaygen. A very sad fic, but fantastic nonetheless. What I liked most about Luna was just how very spacey she was, but while also being endearing and both these traits carry through in this fic. Luna slowly disengages herself from her reality, and as things get blurry we are slowly shown why. This is a gem, for serious.

Toujours Pur Author: Anon Fandom/ Pairing: Harry Potter, Draco/Harry Length: Medium (11800 Words) Spoilers: HP:DH EWE Rating: PG13 (For Swearing), AU Summary: Draco Malfoy doesn’t know what he’s getting himself into. All he knows is that he’s going to see Potter, with a wooden chest in his hand, that used to belong to Bellatrix Lestrange. Oh, and Harry Potter is in Kenya.
Loving the grown up Luna, who hasn't changed. And Malfoy's inner monologue, which is fully of disdain and angst and hope. Its a bit soppy at the end, but worth it, I think.
Everything is written in second person, which made for an interesting read. And the whole fic is filled with gems :) "Teddy Lupin finishes drinking and glares at you, but the milk moustache isn't very scary"

Settlement, Choices, Friends and Resolve Author: celandineb Fandom/Pairing: Harry Potter, Draco/Harry Rating: G Length: Medium Site: LJ Spoilers: HP:DH Summary: As agreed, Draco makes efforts to become friends with Harry so that they can finally settle their life debt.
A slow-progressing relationship between Harry and Draco, which I find relatively novel. They are taking it a step at a time, and refreshing to see the thought processes, and I think because of it all the actions and reactions are slightly more believable. :) Yay!
